Our client, a large State Government organisation, was endeavouring to establish an important and major policy position. However attempts at developing this were being bogged down due to different assumptions, positions and approaches between various groups within the organisation.
Everyone did however recognise the need to have an understanding and agreement of the key points and assumptions and a single source of truth so that a clear position could be presented to senior management for consideration.
Emails, multiple meetings and memos had been happening for some time in an uncoordinated manner and in some cases purposely driven by small group agendas. This was resulting in confusion and loss of time in developing an agreed position and impacting the progress of the overall program.

Facilitating Strategic Outcomes By Applying Best Practice Change Management and Independent Consulting

How we perform to win
4impact were asked to facilitate an outcome to break the deadlock and in discussions with the clients’ program manager it was decided to hold a series of short but sharp workshops with key players. A starting point was developed with clear process that all parties agreed to meet the outcomes and break the inherent deadlock
4impact then consulted with the various parties before facilitating workshops where various scenarios and options were considered and explored to logical “bin” or “keep” outputs.
Over a relatively short time 4impact was able to achieve success on the part of all parties and stakeholders to the extent that the policy framework was quickly developed, agreed and presented to senior government offices; outcomes were achieved in less than a week that had previous taken several months without meaningful progress or delivery.
Our commitment to deliver
4impact’s change leadership was able to rapidly deliver very experienced consultants who were able to offer seasoned facilitation, negotiation and governance skills and achieve outcomes with general agreement and satisfaction of all stakeholders.
